A temperatura deve diminuir acentuadamente no cinturão.

It starts raining in coffee-producing regions of minas gerais on the afternoon of Wednesday (26) for the account of a cold front that came to Brazil in the last few days. However, next week, the precipitation decrease sharply and renew the concerns of the producers with the water deficit. The temperature should decrease sharply in the belt.

During the “Brazilian Coffee: Sustainability and quality” on Tuesday (25), event that opens the celebrations of the anniversary of the cooxupé (Regional cooperative of coffee growers in guaxupé), the low volume of rainfall has been widespread concern of producers Once the harvest of the harvest 2017/18 starts in the next few months.

” we had rains very irregular and well below the average, around 500 millimeters per year, and this rain that should do it will not be beneficial for some crops because we have crops in regions more high and low and warm, with an advanced maturation. In other years, the volume of accumulated rains reached up to 1000 millimeters in the region “, said John Paul Damaceno De Morais, of Monte Carmelo (mg), the journalist John The Baptist Olivi.

In some regions that use irrigation, how heavy the miner, the situation of deficit is like that. ” although many producers have irrigation, some are waiting for the rain and do not care about the system. These conditions may affect the production potential for up to 2018 “, says léocarlos mundin, of Monte Carmelo (mg). The cumulative volume of rainfall in the region is in about 300 millimetres, and the normal would be 700 800 mm this time of year.

According to the water balance of the weekly cooxupé (Regional cooperative of coffee growers in guaxupé), until April 17th (Monday), the deficit was at 12,2 mm in Coromandel (mg) and mount Carmel (mg ), 5,1 mm in carmo do Rio Claro (mg) and about 1 Inch in guaxupé (mg).

The reflexes of these weather conditions are already crop senses that soon more will be harvested. ” we can verify that coffees granam only on one side. So I’m sure we’ll have a fall of crop in 2017 “, says mundin. The Cerrado Miner has produced more in 2016 and must have harvest up to 35 % lower in this year of 2017. Some producers will reap less than 50 %.

Osvaldo Baquião Son, new resende (mg), believes that the Brazilian coffee growers fatally will have difficulties in this crop. “we’re going to have problems with rent, we will probably have to spend a little more ‘ Litragem ‘ to make a sack of coffee clean”. according to the producer, the normal for this period would be from 700 to 800 millimetres of accumulated rain .

According to the weatherman of climatempo, Alexander birth, the week will be heavy rainfall in areas producing coffee on this cold front. However, the reflexes that deserve more attention should not be registered in the belt of the grain. ” the rains will be strong, but fast, in the south and southeast. In Sao Paulo, the precipitation must already start tomorrow. The temperatures, however, are more casualties until may “, says birth.
